Compassion and solidarity this Christmas

Zeeshan is passionate about his community in Pakistan, many of whom are persecuted for their faith. Zeeshan serves at Jesus Evangelical Church (JEC) – founded by his grandfather Lazrass – which regularly provides humanitarian assistance to strengthen the bonds within the affected communities.

This Christmas, Zeeshan is determined to provide essential support to 500 persecuted families in Pakistan, including food supplies and ensuring that children receive toys and clothes. His aim is to offer a ray of hope and joy during this festive period.

“From my experience with Zeeshan, he is a man who is dedicated to bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to, first of all, the poor and needy, the slave and the infirmed, but also to all who would hear the call of God,” says Garth Grant, Steer National Director.

Steer started supporting the work of JEC in 2020 and has evidence of successful past projects, especially a careful accounting of funds and the number of families assisted. JEC also seeks partnerships with local people and churches.

This project endeavours to bring warmth, sustenance, and joy to persecuted families during a time that signifies hope and generosity. It’s a testament to the spirit of compassion and solidarity, aiming to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected.
